We welcome all American and Canadian actors with legal right to work in UK to apply for membership and join us.

American Actors UK is the UK’s network of North American actors. Casting and artistic directors can confidently turn to our directory for professional actors with authentic accents.

To build that confidence, we ensure our members meet the following criteria:

  • Originally and currently an American or Canadian citizen.
  • Legally able to work in the UK without restriction, as well as in the United States and/or Canada.
  • Proof of professional acting contracts or a graduate from a NCDT/Drama UK accredited drama school in the UK.
  • Membership (or eligible for membership) of at least one entertainment union.
  • Be a member of Spotlight.

Our membership year begins on October 1st and runs to September 30th each year. Annual subscriptions for existing members are £45 per year. New members pay a £10 joining fee.

If paying or renewing, you must pay the full £45 until March 31st, after which the fee will be £22.50. If you haven’t paid your membership will remain inactive until you pay.

  • We run social events and theatre trips as well as workshops with Casting Directors and guest speakers.
